When renting linens, the following questions should ALWAYS be asked before deciding upon a company:
Q: How do you clean your linens? A: At Cover That Up! Linens we pride ourselves in using top of the line chemicals to remove the toughest stains. Every piece of linen is treated with high potency chemicals that are monitored by a computerized washing machine. We also have our own lab technician that keeps track of each of the chemicals and makes sure that we have just the right amounts injected into the washing machine. There is no stain that we can't handle, and therefore all of our linens are stain free! Please make sure that the linen company you are choosing has professional chemicals to clean the linens, otherwise you might be seated and eating off dirty, soiled linens.
Q: How are your linens pressed? A: Cover That Up! Linens is proud to employ three 132" Professional Pressing Machines, which are the largest pressers you can buy! Every piece of linen is put through the Pressing Machine directly out of the washer. The Pressing Machine allows each piece of linen to be pressed without any creasing in the fabric. If a linen company does not own a professional pressing machine, then make sure and inquire how the linens are pressed or ironed. Don't make the mistake of not asking and then having wrinkled linens for your special event!
Q: How are your linens stored? A: After each linen is professionally cleaned and pressed, they are then folded, hung on hangers and covered with dry cleaner bags. Each linen is then labeled and hung in our enormous warehouse, even our chair covers! It is very important to cover each linen to prevent any dirt or debree from restaining the linens before they are used for the next event. It is also very important to hang each linen in order to keep the wrinkle free appearance.
Q: Does your company install the linens? A: Cover That Up! Linens provides the installation of all linens in order to guarantee that the linens are installed properly. Many companies do not offer installation services, which places the responsibility on you, to find and recruit people to install them. If a linen company does provide installation of the linens, ALWAYS ask how many people will be installing the linens and what time they will be arriving to do so. It is horrible to realize at the last minute that you have 300 chair covers that aren't put on the chairs!
Q: Do you have an office, showroom, or warehouse? A: Cover That Up! Linens has a 20,000 sq. ft. warehouse that we store all of our linens and decor. We also have an office and small showroom to allow clients to see any linen set up on a table. Please be aware that you need to see the linens before you reserve them. Some companies only have offices, but do not carry an inventory in the same town, rather they ship their linens from a main warehouse some place else. When shipping linens, sometimes they ship the wrong item or the wrong number and then you are stuck with not enough linen and they can't just run back to their office and grab some extras. Just be careful!
Q: What happens if there is a change in the number of guests/tables at the last minute? A: Cover That Up! Linens ALWAYS takes extra linens, just in case there is any additions at the event. Sometimes the guest count goes up at the last minute and we always want to be prepared to cover any and all tables at the event. If need be, we will go back to the warehouse to get any items that are needed to complete the event. We never want the room or event to look unfinished!
Q: Do you deliver and what is the cost? A: At Cover That Up! Linens we deliver and pick up linens in a company van for a small fee. Always make sure that the company will be to your event at the scheduled times and make sure that there are no additional delivery charges. Additional delivery charges can be added for out of town deliveries, late night deliveries, and especially weekend deliveries. Always clarify what the charges are going to be before agreeing to a delivery day and time. |
